H.E. Pamela Gidi, Deputy Chairperson of the Governing Board of Tod’Aérs Global Network [TGN] and former Deputy Minister of Telecommunications of Chile, contributed as co-author to the third edition of the Latin American Artificial Intelligence Index, developed by CENIA.
The index will be officially launched at the Chilean offices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean [ECLAC/CEPAL], bringing together experts, policymakers, researchers, and technology leaders to discuss the development of artificial intelligence across the region.
As part of the launch, Ms. Gidi will participate in a panel discussion focused on green computing and the future of digital infrastructure in Latin America. The discussion will address a key challenge for the region: how to expand computing capacity while supporting sustainable development goals and reducing the environmental impact of digital transformation.
Her contribution to the index reflects her continued engagement in artificial intelligence, telecommunications, digital policy, and sustainable innovation. It also highlights the importance of evidence-based analysis to guide public policy, investment, and strategic decision-making in the AI ecosystem.
Through this work, Pamela Gidi continues to support regional dialogue on how Latin America can strengthen its technological capabilities, develop responsible AI strategies, and build digital infrastructure aligned with long-term sustainability objectives.
Her participation also reflects TGN’s commitment to advancing innovation, responsible technology, digital transformation, and sustainable development through the expertise of its global leadership network.
