Tod’Aérs’s Global Development Policy Initiative Wins First Place at the World Bank Biodiversity Hackathon

Tod’Aérs Global Network [TGN] is pleased to announce that its Global Development Policy Initiative [GDPi] has won First Place in the Policy Category of the World Bank Biodiversity Hackathon with its project, Biodiversity Intelligence for All [BI4ALL].

Earlier this year, GDPi was selected by the World Bank Group for the final phase of the Biodiversity Hackathon in the Policy Category. Following this selection, the initiative has now been recognized as the winning project in its category, marking an important achievement for TGN’s work at the intersection of biodiversity, data, policy innovation, and digital transformation.

The World Bank Biodiversity Hackathon is supported through global efforts to improve access to biodiversity data, geospatial intelligence, and analytical tools for better policy design. It brings together major international partners and platforms working on biodiversity, climate, ecosystems, geospatial data, and digital innovation.

TGN’s winning project, Biodiversity Intelligence for All [BI4ALL], is built around six key pillars: biodiversity conservation knowledge, earth intelligence for biodiversity, biodiversity early warning systems, digital infrastructure for biodiversity, artificial intelligence for biodiversity, and a new direction for 2030 focused on making biodiversity intelligence accessible to all.

Through BI4ALL, TGN aims to contribute to a more inclusive and data-driven approach to biodiversity protection. The project highlights the importance of combining policy expertise, artificial intelligence, geospatial technologies, and global biodiversity data to support governments, institutions, and development partners in designing stronger environmental policies.

This recognition reflects TGN’s commitment to advancing innovative solutions for sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and global policy transformation.
