Mauritanian Central Banker Dr. Sidi Mohamed Dhaker joins the Governing Board of Tod'Aérs


Mauritanian Central Banker Dr. Sidi Mohamed Dhaker (Mauritania) joins the Governing Board of Tod’Aérs Global Network [TGN]. Dr. Sidi Mohamed Dhaker is the Director General of the Institute of Economic Studies at the Central Bank of Mauritania. He was previously Senior Advisor to the Governor, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Director of PR and Communications, and Director of Strategy and Transformation of the Central Bank.


Prior to that, Dr. Sidi Mohamed Dhaker was Director of Monitoring and Evaluation at World Vision International and previously worked as a Strategy Consultant for several international organizations including the French Development Agency (AFD), the French banking group Groupe BPCE, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).


Dr. Sidi Mohamed Dhaker is also an Associate Professor of Management and Economics at the University of Nouakchott and a Visiting Professor of Economic Policy at the National School of Administration (ENAJM). He has a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in strategy and management from the University of Versailles. He holds a Master’s degree in Management Science from the University of Versailles, a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from HEC Paris, and a Master’s degree in Economics and International development from the University of Paris-Est Créteil XII (UPEC).


Dr. Sidi Mohamed Dhaker was awarded the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders (2015), Atlantic Emerging Leader (2017), Special Award Francophone Young Leader (2018), French-African Young Leader (2019), and the Transformer’s Award (2020). He was also part of the Choiseul 100 Africa ranking (2019 to 2023). He was a Visiting Research Fellow in International Management at Georgetown University in 2009 and a Resident Fellow in Public Policy at Georgia State University in 2015.
