Tod’Aérs Board Member H.E. Luis A. Salazar Presents Policy Experimentation Report to ITU Digital Innovation Board

Tod’Aérs Board Member His Excellency Luis A. Salazar participated in high-level discussions in the Dominican Republic with the International Telecommunication Union [ITU], where he presented the first progress report of the Policy Experimentation thematic group to the ITU Digital Innovation Board.

H.E. Luis A. Salazar was selected as a member of the Global Expert Group of the ITU Digital Innovation Group, composed of experts from around the world working together to support global innovation, strengthen digital capacities, and advance inclusive digital transformation. Within this expert group, he serves as the thematic leader for Policy Experimentation.

The presentation took place under the leadership of Cosmas Luckyson ZAVAZAVA, Director of ITU’s Telecommunication Development Bureau, alongside Julissa Cruz Abreu, Moe Ba, and representatives of the Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones [INDOTEL]. The discussions focused on innovation policy, digital capacity-building, institutional cooperation, and the development of strategies for a human-centered digital economy.

During his presentation, H.E. Luis A. Salazar highlighted the assessment, progress, and key challenges of the Policy Experimentation thematic group for the upcoming year. His contribution emphasized the importance of testing new policy approaches, fostering regulatory innovation, and building practical frameworks that can help countries respond to rapid technological change.
