Tod’Aérs Board Member H.E. Bolor-E. Battsengel Joins CAMCA Regional Forum Panel on the Geopolitics of Artificial Intelligence



Tod’Aérs Board Member Her Excellency Bolor-E. Battsengel participated in a high-level panel discussion on the geopolitics of artificial intelligence during the CAMCA Regional Forum, held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.


The CAMCA Regional Forum serves as an important platform for dialogue among leaders, policymakers, experts, and stakeholders from Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The annual event promotes regional discussions on economic growth, development, innovation, and cooperation across the CAMCA region.


The panel explored the growing strategic importance of artificial intelligence in a rapidly changing global environment. Discussions focused on the concentration of AI computing power, the widening global AI divide, and the implications of emerging technologies for countries seeking to strengthen their digital sovereignty and technological capacity.


As Mongolia is strategically positioned between Russia and China, the conversation also highlighted the country’s unique geopolitical context and the importance of building strong partnerships with “third neighbors,” including countries across the CAMCA region and beyond.


Alongside fellow panelists Julian Mueller-Kaler and Eric Brown, H.E. Bolor-E. Battsengel shared insights on the opportunities and risks associated with AI development in the region. The discussion addressed responsible AI governance, equitable access to advanced technologies, and the need to avoid new forms of digital dependency or digital colonization.
